Good cable. It's digital, so I expected the sound quality to remain the same. That looks like the truth. I was surprised that the end of the cable was rotated 90 degrees. This was a pleasant surprise as I had to route the cable through the connection point and through the body of my device. However, once I was at the connection point, I was able to rotate it to get rid of the case and odd cable orientation. So far, so good.

The build quality of the cable seems to be very good. Unfortunately it didn't work for my application. I suspect that some devices are more sensitive to the amount of light transmitted than others. As another reviewer noted, a red light was visible at the end of the cable, confirming the other end was connected. I also suspect that something breaking the laser light 90 degrees is causing signal loss.

Great product. After installing the LG OLED TV on the swivel mount, it turned out that the mount was blocking access to the Toslink port on the back of the TV. I prefer to use this connection to a home theater receiver than an HDMI ARC connection. My alternative was to cut off the part of the bracket that was blocking access to the TV's optical port, or use this right angle cable. Works great and I don't have to take the TV out of the bracket.

I wanted bookshelf speakers closer to the wall (Kanto YU6) and am happy with the results. PERFECT products are not cheap at all. Since I keep the audio device for too long, it gets used for quite a long time and that's how it should be looked at, folks. The straight ones put pressure on the connectors and sag over time. Bought new Bluetooth powered speakers and wanted an optical connection so the cable can be routed straight down to not see the optical connection at all. any direction that hides the cable from your view.
