I bought this Dell last month and it has worked as expected. I thought it was a good price including the $730 tax. I didn't like the fact that it had MS business software, that I use it for work. I'm not sure about this computer yet. I've been an enterprise systems consultant for 20 years, so I'm familiar with laptops. When I got this one and turned it on, it didn't take me through the normal startup/configuration settings that I'm used to. As if it had already been used. Nice laptop but it clicks at startup (see movie) like it's trying to access the hard drive. Then he gets an error message (pictured) that the hard drive is protected by a password system. ? Why? Something when it was updated? Any ideas how to disable this? If it's looking for a hard drive for no reason, it might not be good in the long run. All those extra spins also cause very slow loading. To fix it, after several calls to the sound engineers, computer people and the seller we found out that because it is defective we have to bring it in for repair. The problem is that we have to use it and taking it to repair is not an option and we don't even know if it can be repaired. So if you want to use a headset, don't use this computer.
