💻 Dell Inspiron 45W Laptop Charger Adapter Power Cord for Inspiron & XPS Series Review

It looked like my custom power adapter but it doesn't charge my laptop properly. I thought it was working but last night my computer gave me a BIOS error and told me to use a Dell 45w adapter saying it did. Obviously this is a fake.

Whenever I messed up the original charger that came with my laptop; I brought another charger from Wal-Mart and it worked so far initially; he stopped for some reason. I just bought the factory charger that came with the laptop and it charges my laptop without incident. Sometimes you just have to spend money.

As many other reviews have said, this is not a Dell genuine product. Mine works partially. But I get a message that the cable is not suitable for my laptop. If I turn it on and off a few times, it works. But obviously it's not good for my laptop. I still have the charger that came with my laptop. This one works great so I know it's not a problem with my laptop.

OK. I got it today and it's too early to determine the long-term charge reliability. It is different from the original charger that came with the computer. The connecting pin is longer than the original, so it does not fit like the original. This is the reason for 4 stars.

Doesn't look like a "genuine" Dell product despite the advert, but works without any issues. Much cheaper than charging cables sold directly by Dell. I'm deducting a star because after about a month of use the cord has already started to break near the plug (cables are exposed where the rubber sheath has separated from the plug).

Revane. My computer's model number (7359) was specifically listed in the application list. When I plugged it in, a 'Not Charging' message appeared on my Dell laptop screen. The charge light on the front of the laptop was not lit. The computer is actually being charged, but something about that charge is clearly causing the computer not to recognize it. I need this charger to use my computer otherwise I would be sending it back. What a misleading advertisement and description.

This charger lasted me about 2 years - longer than what came with my Dell. I order again. I bought another one (unbranded) which only lasted about 2 months so it was a success. Edit: Update - My computer refuses the second one I ordered. It slows down my computer and I keep getting error messages. I compared it with the first one and they are different (numbers do not match).

All Dell computers are looking for the right "Dell” brand charger. If you buy generic it will work BUT your performance will suffer greatly. Usually a 4 core machine runs on a 1 core machine. I bought several universal chargers and threw them all away. I have bought DELL brand chargers like this one and they all work fine. I have nothing to do with Dell. I'm just sharing my experience.

Received this a day late today but no big deal. Plugged it in and immediately got a message saying it wasn't recognized as a Dell adapter and not a legitimate 45w adapter. The laptop's power spike is very loose, but whether you move it or not doesn't matter. Does not load. I will trade it in once for the same item and update this review with the results. [edit] got a second one and the adapter started smoking after about 30 seconds. Went and bought a more expensive Insignia PSU and it works…
