This docking station does not support more than 1 monitor simultaneously over 1080p. I have an old fashioned Dell dock that is over 5 years old that can power my 2 x 2k monitors but it will not and has been confirmed by Dell. To be honest I don't understand why everyone has so many problems with this docking station. It comes with a very clear instruction stating that you must update your computer's BIOS before using it. Just go to the Dell website and download the BIOS update as well as the wd15 firmware update utility driver and Realtek USB audio driver. I tried using different cables and connecting the monitor to other video sources. The issue only occurs when connected to a Dell docking station. No chatter. The network connection of this docking station is defective. The network cable doesn't snap into place, so I had to secure it with a rubber band to keep it from falling out. Also, the Thunderbolt port is USB 1 speed at best. Owning several Dell PCs and laptops, none of which were actually repaired during warranty work, was Dell's way. Update: Three things to note: 1) Check the Dell website for the resolutions of the monitors the WD15 supports . While it worked fine on my current 1920x1200 monitor, it doesn't support a higher resolution monitor that I intend to buy in the near future. Finally a dock that runs Linux, USB-C and charges my computer. I tried 4 separate docking stations, Dell TB15 and TB16 and two from Plugable. TB15/16 were really terrible products.
