I use this Dell monitor as a secondary monitor for my iMac (2560 x 1440). However, I only get 1080p on the Dell and not the promised higher resolution that the monitor should be able to do. Any ideas? It really was a cable. I changed it to Lightning from iMac to Display on Dell and got 2560x1440 resolution. I have increased my rating to 5 stars. It's so wonderful now. Thanks to all.

Use a 13" Macbook Pro (Mid 2015) along with an Accell B143B-007J UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 cable to power TWO of these devices from my Apple laptop. Together with the built-in screen, this results in a total of 3 monitors. I'm a DPI whore so I went with a 24 inch 2K monitor and it's awesome.

Worked automatically on my 2008 MacBook Pro in both Windows 7 (Boot Camp) and El Capitan. QHD at 60 Hz. Nice, bright and well regulated. Amazing offer.

Well, as soon as I bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter, I started using it. If you have an XPS13 you will need an adapter. Uncomfortable to see on the monitor after unpacking. Update: 01/11/2016: I bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The connector did not match the XPS. I have now ordered USB-C to DataPort. To do that, DELL needs a quick kick in the ashes. I am very happy with this monitor. I was surprised that I could get 2560 x 1440 at this price. As other reviews say, I had to use the Mini Displayport to Displayport cable to get full resolution with my MacBook Pro. The resolution is excellent, the picture bright, all around satisfied.

I use this monitor, a Dell P2416D, with my HP Envy 17t-k000 laptop via the laptop's HDMI port. This laptop has Intel HD Graphics 4600 on the motherboard. It works well in 2560*1440 resolution at 60Hz. I like the fact that the screen is between matte and glossy. It probably has a very, very light anti-reflective matte finish. QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, IPS panel, bright and beautiful picture, no dead or stuck pixels, less than $300, good warranty, and DELL's fixed-point pixel policy all contribute to a 5-star rating . Good size to sit in front of a table.

Very good monitor, especially for the price. Amazing size too. My only issue is that there's a little more shine than I'd like, but it's not bad enough to deduct a star.

I LOVE this monitor. The other monitor I had was fine, but I wanted to upgrade to IPS and a slightly better resolution. For the price unbeatable! It's BETTER than I expected. It also comes with a 3-year extended exchange service. Most monitors only have a 1-year warranty and you usually send them in for repair and waive that.

This is an amazing monitor! Especially when you're used to high-resolution displays like the Retina MacBook Pro or Windows equivalent, Full HD monitors just don't cut it.

I bought a couple of these for my home office and they are excellent. Both panels are bright and sharp, and the extra desktop real estate compared to 1080p monitors is very noticeable. The ability to rotate your monitor to portrait mode is also great for working with long documents or huge pages of code.

The Dell monitor is of really good quality and especially the stand is really good to easily adjust the height. The only downside is that the monitor sometimes flickers. I don't know the reason but other users say that this monitor has compatibility issues. However, this problem is trivial. So I recommend this monitor.

I only noticed when I bought it, but this monitor does not support DVI. Since my current graphics card does not have a display port, I had to use an HDMI cable. I can't go up to 2560x1440 either. I've used multiple HDMI cables, but I believe this resolution is only supported with display cables. I was able to manually set the resolution to 2560x1440 from the NVidia control panel, but the screen was blurry.

Please confirm this is a brand new product from the manufacturer and not a refurbished product. I don't see this reported anywhere on the product page. We bought this monitor and the monitor itself still works great, however it was not sealed like it was from the manufacturer and came with a non-manufacturer cable which leads me to believe we received a refurbished monitor.
