Bought this monitor 5 months ago, works great. No questions. The picture is clear and the screen is big enough for our needs.

Reviews mentioning graininess on a bright white background were correct. It definitely has a tingling effect. Other than that, I love everything else about it, and I really don't notice it too much. What a surprise to buy this monitor and find out it doesn't have the HDMI input that all my laptops and PCs have as outputs. I had to reorder the HDMI to DVI cable and I'll see how it works. Did some belated research and found that Dell is pushing the DP interface and trying to force it on consumers. This will be the last Dell product I will buy.

This was sealed at the Dell factory at a lower price than the price paid for a set of 2. The monitor has a good resolution and works well with two screens.

Technically, this is a great monitor. Resolution, clarity and response are great, and everything runs smoothly (on VGA) with multiple laptops. The ability to rotate the monitor 90 degrees to portrait is great for working with documents, although you'll have to manually adjust the graphical properties in Windows (it would be cool if it automatically detected its orientation). Better screen coverage than previous generations. One star off because Dell rounded the corners and used cheaper plastic for the case. I bought from a third party, not Amazon, which was missing a stand on the one advertised as a new monitor. Not a big deal since I had a VESA mount. I bought it as a second monitor for my iMac. At first I was disappointed, it took a long time to turn on. The trick is to set the monitor settings for the PC and not the Mac. Then everything worked out and the colors on both monitors are pretty close. I wish it was better. Looks a little ugly next to an iMac, but I think performance comes first!

there was an annoying yellowish light in the bottom left corner that made the monitor unworthy to work with images in photoshop and the like.

I really love this monitor. I like the USB ports. I use it for a Mac Mini and having only 1 USB really helps. Limited size options.

WARNING. This monitor uses a very aggressive anti-glare coating that makes the screen appear grainy and crystallized. It's like working in Photoshop and using a noise filter, but always overlaid on the monitor. Many people have removed the anti-glare coating that eliminates the grainy/crystallized look, but you'll have to deal with the glossy screen and void the three-year warranty.
