🚰 Delta Replacement RP28603 Faucet by Delta Review

Easy to install. Ideal for stopping drips from a faucet. The hardest part was safely removing the swivel nut. I used a hair dryer to heat the brass nut and it came loose easily. There was a lot of tension ahead and would likely break the waterlines from too much force. The kit included a set of o-rings which I did not use for my application.

I have a Delta 1700 series shower faucet that drips slowly. I decided to try this kit instead of the cartridge and rubber washer combo kit and it completely fixed the small leak I was having. From my internet research, if you just have a leak and have no trouble mixing cold and hot water, just buy this kit, not the cartridge. YMMV, but this worked for me. How to install a youtube video that will help you. Don't forget to put plumbing grease on the rubber washers.

I changed the seat and springs 4 months ago and the shower head was leaking again. So I bought it and it arrived today. I also called Delta today. I will most likely return it as Delta ships for free. Just give her a call. Delta said the OEM parts are out there on the shelf and are losing lubrication and therefore aren't as durable. The parts they ship come straight from the factory line and are therefore of a higher quality. They also send the whole kit for free ie RP46073.

Update: I should have mentioned that if I had my plumber fix the drip he would would charge me $130. just for looks, plus wages and parts (which will be at extra cost). So I decided to fix it myself.
