Delta finally sent the correct part

Ordered the kit twice and both were missing the correct switch. Serious inconvenience in completing our master bath project.

Easily installs into faucet handles

Easily swap out a 3-position valve for a new 6-position valve. I wish the other valve had said it wasn't for three different items (shower head, hand and rain head)!

This wouldn't be necessary if Delta were clearer.

This would not have been necessary if Delta had clearly stated that the 3-way switch can only be activated by the left port of the valve assembly.

Finally found the right one.

When I was remodeling my shower I went to the local Lowe shop and spoke to a 'pro' and told them what I was doing and they sold me a 3 position Switch that would only control two shops. Well I needed to check 3 sockets so I went online and did my own research which I should have done first and found this diverter and it works great.

Delta Idler Cartridge

Revain has great prices. Delivery is great. It didn't go with my shower and to be honest I learned it well. The plumber pulled it out of the faucet and said no, it doesn't fit. Then I matched the desired part to the available cartridge. My suggestion is to pull out the part that you need to replace and adjust. This was the one that was supposed to be part of my build, but it wasn't.

Make sure you select the correct part, 3 or 6 positions. 3 position switch comes with Delta trim kit

. Be sure to order the correct valve for your application. The 3-way valve comes with the Delta Trim Kit "Delta Faucet Ara 17 Series Dual Function Shower Handle Valve Trim Kit with Integral 3 Position Switch, Stainless Steel T27867-SS (Valve not included)". This "valve not included" is misleading as at least in my case it is included.

Expensive solution for delta universal valves

Remarkably easy to install. Delta only gets three stars here because they made ordering the right cartridge unnecessarily complicated. You might think that a three-way cartridge would allow you to divert water to three different plumbing connections, but that's not the case. With the 3-way cartridge, water can be routed to ports A, B or A+B. If you have these attachments, you absolutely need THIS 6-way valve. Also note that you need a 6-way Eustachian valve, otherwise the index lines will not…
