🔨 DEMMEX 1.6 Quart Hammered Copper Stovetop Review

The copper is nice and apart from the underside which is exposed to open flame I haven't noticed any discoloration even after repeated uses. I use an oven mitt when pouring, but that's more of a problem with hot steam than a hot handle. The lid will rattle when the water is fully boiled, so I'll warn you when you're done. The pot was originally sent without a lid, but the seller supplied the lid in a timely manner. Functional and beautiful.

I love this kettle. It's just great and heats up very quickly. Many of my pots are made of copper and this fits perfectly. It requires maintenance, like anything made of copper, but I like to make a homemade cleaner and polish it. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the inner can started rotating after just a few weeks of use. But I think that should be ok. If not, see an update to this review.

Pro: I'm in love with this kettle! It looks amazing in my kitchen, heats water quickly, and is generally very durable. Cons: Doesn't whistle, but when fully cooked the lid rattles. This is not good for open flame gas stoves. The handle goes down and is directly exposed to the heat source. Mine is already cracked, and when I check it as it's heating up, it's usually half burned, which is what cabbage looks like. This could be solved if the company makes a shorter grip that doesn't hang as low…
