🚘 Denso 453-1006 Premium Cabin Air Filter for Acura/Honda models – First Time Fit Review

Perfect fit. Terrible Honda design for the filter box, why wouldn't someone make two 1/2 tall filters so you don't have to remove the steel rod?

Recently I have changed the cabin filter a lot. At this price every 6 months. I easily upgraded to my 2008 Pilot EX-L. Not the easiest of installs (thanks Honda haha) but the filter came with no issues.

Installs on 2004 Honda Pilot and increases airflow back to original. Only grief from Honda Design, Denso even provided instructions on how to access the filter housing for replacement

The product received does not match the picture or the original filter installed in the vehicle. The seller sent cheaper (a filter) without the guides that hold the paper in place. I had to install a new one because all the dismantling work was already done.

This is perfect for my 2002 Acura MDX. I have to be honest though, it will probably take about an hour to replace this yourself the first time as you have to remove the entire glove box as well as the metal bar that also needs to be removed. It's not that hard, it's just a matter of figuring out which screws need to be removed that aren't easily accessible.

It's a huge pain in the back to get to where this thing needs replacing but once I got everything out of the way it fit well. This provided a good seal at the top and bottom, and after removing the dirty air filter I immediately noticed an increase in airflow from the vents. I believe it was made by the same company as Honda, Denso, it looked identical.
