22RE is mandatory for forks!

I installed new plugs on my 1991 T4R with 22re. The price can't be better than the quality. I know I don't have to change them as often as the factory does. I have 10,000 on set at the moment and I popped one out and it looks great!

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Socket required

First impression after 100 miles, 1993 Toyota pickup, 22RE, 5 speed with 256,000 miles; pulls harder and softer in every gear after 3 tank fillings. Round trip (70% city) 28.4 mpg. Previous 3 tanks, circuit driving (70% city), 27.2 mpg. The previous spark plugs were IW16 with iridium tip. The only difference is the dual tip, IW16TT. City traffic mainly in Pensacola.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

Pickup Toyota 1988 22r

Exactly what you pay for! I replaced the old copper cores in my 1988 Toyota 22r pickup with these. I know they are for cars with reverse spark but I get cleaner cylinder flames from them and they should survive the truck now even though it's a brand new engine. I say this because there is no reason to replace such a spark plug after 120,000 km, the tip is so good on both sides that if it fails at all all you need is the gap at the plug. It can survive porcelain

Pros
  • Spark Plugs
Cons
  • Hard to say

call me crazy - Spark Plugs and Wires

I installed Denso TT spark plugs in my SUV a year ago and the car runs smoother and has longer mileage. Also improved acceleration. So what have I done with my new lawn mower this year. Yes, after 3 weeks of use I replaced the beautiful NGK spark plug with a similar Denso TT. Now the mower starts easier (better spark), sticks less to thick grass (more power), uses less fuel. With the improved performance and insane lifespan of the Iridium plug, I reckon the added cost of the plug will save me…

Pros
  • Spark Plugs and Wires
Cons
  • Fair enough but...

Twin Tip Iridium/Platinum Spark Plug

I have a '93 Toyota pickup, 22re, 4cyl. I decided to try these IW16TT iridium plugs after looking at the Denso IW16 iridium plug. At the time of purchase, the TT was only $1.20 more per fork than the IW16, so why not? My previous forks were about 30,000 Mikes, they were OEM Denso W16EXR-U copper forks. The advantage of any iridium spark plug is longevity. I've driven a lot of miles on my pickup so hopefully I won't have to change them that often. Denso says this particular version of the TT has
