The part of the floss that should have been thin was too thick to fit between the teeth. The thick part can clean the space between the braces and the tooth, but the thin part can't go between the teeth where normal dental floss goes.

Great product for people with gum problems and large gaps between teeth - especially the back molars. Conventional dental floss from the pharmacy is too thin to really remove dirt from between your teeth. I use it every day as directed and I have no bleeding. This floss really helps me keep my gums and teeth healthy.

They are VERY thick. It says so on the packaging, but we didn't understand it until we picked up the packaging. A precise description would actually keep us from buying it. We had to send them back. They are not suitable for people without gaps, they are too difficult to use and even the floss does not go through the teeth, they can cause serious damage if you try to use them forcefully.
