Derwent Sketching Pencils Metal 0700836 Review

Derwent pencils were my first choice for drawing and sketching. The lines are smooth and create an attractive texture in my drawings. Hyatt's service was also excellent.

These pens are great. I saw a significant improvement in my drawings when I added them to my font. And if you're also a watercolor painter, the metal case that comes with the pens makes a great travel palette. I highly recommend.

I love these pens so it's hard for me to write this review. The diameter of the pens is larger than most, which I think is a real plus. Graphite rods are even and smooth. So why only two stars? Both 2B pencils had their wooden bodied tips broken, starting on less than halfway down the pencil. When you sharpen the pencil, about 1/4 inch of lead falls out of the pencil. I wish Derwent's quality control was better.

I'm a children's book illustrator and love Derwent pencils for sketching. They leave a nice creamy smooth line on the paper and the round shape of the pen feels good in the hand. getting dark. These thick, rounded-bodied pencils are comfortable to hold, stand out, and blend beautifully. There are a few scratches in the graphite, but not enough to cause you much trouble.
