Worked great on my 2000 GMC Sierra 5.3!

I bought titanium thinking it wouldn't chip or sag like regular fiberglass. THAT IS THE SAME! This thing will go anywhere, and it will get on you and your clothes. You will itch. You should also do this in a room with good air circulation. Otherwise everything is more or less simple. I used it to wrap headers on my GMC pickup. I hit 100 feet and wasn't sure I had enough, but it was ENOUGH for the driver and passenger, with enough headroom. This helped because I made a few mistakes when I…

it looks cool it can be.

Background: These were V&H shortshots on a Harley Davidson Iron 883. I wound the tubes without heat shields. Reasons I did it: Mainly for the looks. I thought it looked damn cool. It should regulate the heating to increase the power slightly. who knows if that's the case. I wanted to run these pipes without heat shields as the tapes would click and rattle. Installation: Not easy with a pair of hands. Find a friend or spouse! This job is pretty damn hard in itself, and it doesn't look like it…

Counterfeit Product: Thermal Foil, Frosting & Cases

Revain refuses to provide my long negative review with many photos of this counterfeit product. This is my third attempt at writing this review and I'll just skip the photos. THIS IS A FAKE DEI PRODUCT. Real thermal wrap comes in a hard plastic sleeve, not a thin shrink wrap like direct from China. The real thing is tightly woven and has very little shedding. EVERYWHERE, EVERYWHERE, EVERYWHERE. I was covered and itchy for days. I could literally stick my finger through the fake because the…

NOT AS IT WAS OR IT WAS A COUNTERFEIT, BUYER BEWARE

Really Disappointed I wrapped my 2 V8 long pipe headers. I have used this exact brand for a motorcycle exhaust 4 times in the past. The last time was 3 years ago. I know how to wrap it properly. Whether it has changed or they sent me a fake one, when you pull it, the 2 inch width becomes 1.3-1.5 width. Never did that. but there is SO MUCH FIBERGLASS in this one that I had to throw my clothes away after wrapping my headlines. Shine a bright LED where you used it and you'll see the fibers are…

Cons
  • So Far So Good

I don't often write reviews but this stuff is awful and I can promise I will never buy it again. Due to the way the cloth is woven, cutting a shorter piece will result in the entire roll eventually unraveling when tightened. They say 2"x50" is enough for a 4 cylinder engine, but after a few headers I ran out of winding before doing 1/3 of the way with my center pipe (I didn't double the winding, so do Do yourself a favor and buy at least two rolls if it's for anything other than a motorcycle…
