The doorstop is just great, it does the job as expected and there is nothing special about it. However, the supplied screw is very cheap and despite pre-drilling the wooden base, the Phillips head can be removed very easily. I used another screw lying around and it worked fine.

The height of this item is listed in the product information as 1.5 inches. This is a critical dimension as the distance from the door to the floor varies. The element height is less than 0.75 inch and is unusable for my application. The item has a pole on the high side that you insert into a drilled hole in the ground. This stem is included in the height measurement. Incorrect product information.

We bought this to use on our Trexx deck to prevent our sliding French door from catching the outside light of the wagon. It does a good job but the screw started rusting within a week. So if you plan to use this in a humid environment, your best bet is to buy a zinc plated mounting screw. We'll be replacing our screw soon while we can get the rusty one out.

Works well good quality but they were a bit short on my front door and I had to put a washer underneath to lift them and hit the door in place of the bottom seal. pennies more, they can include a 1/4" plastic spacer. I've had a couple of herbivore replacements that had a plastic piece that was a perfect diameter match.

After it arrived I found that half the 1.5" height is actually a support rod that needs to be inserted into a hole drilled in the floor. So the true height of this item is only 0.75-inch, making it useless on my door as the door just swings over it and doesn't touch. Please consider this before placing an order.

They probably work fine, but the installation is VERY PAINFUL. They come without a drilling template, and since the 1" tab protrudes from the bottom, you won't be able to line it up flush with the surface to plan holes. There will be many guesses.
