Not what I expected for $50. It doesn't stay in place because it's too light, the adjustable lens doesn't move because the arm is so short it's difficult to center it on the hoop. If I hadn't already thrown the box away I would have sent it back.

I thought this product looked good in the picture and the video on how to use it sold me. However, when I received the item I couldn't believe how small it was. It's small. And I thought it was very cheaply made. It was too expensive for this quality.

Received this lamp today what a joke! The base is too small and light and does not support a gooseneck without tipping over. I'll glue the weight to the base and see if that helps. This lamp looks like it belongs in a child's dollhouse. Don't waste money.

For a true 90 degree crosshair, you must be perpendicular to the dot. The problem is that it throws the thing off balance and tips it over. I recommend gluing a pencil from a model airplane to the opposite side of the scale for balancing. Now I'm happy with it. Out of the box you will be disappointed.

I tried leveling with a large cutting mat which I know has straight lines and PAL laser beams are not straight. Only the crosshairs in the center are aligned. Not worth anywhere near $40. A plus. It's so thin and light that you have to hold onto the base to make adjustments. I had to tape it to the table so it would stand alone. I will return this item.

I am disappointed that this laser beam does not emit enough light to see the shading from just 2 inches away. Every effort was made to see the cross; turning off the room lights, eliminating all shadow light sources, etc. I also replaced the batteries included in the kit with new batteries; unfortunately it didn't help. I was hoping to use this to identify midpoints on machine nitrogen.
