🐶 Aspen Winter White Fashion Dog Parka Coat Review

I bought this three years ago for my hyper vest and it's the best coat I've ever bought for it - it's super warm, keeps you from the midwest winter chills and looks good with her charm. The only reason I'm looking for another is because the velcro and buttons have worn down from so much use, but after three years I'd say we've gotten our money's worth :)

I ordered a small size for my 10 lb chihuahua based on his height and it ended up being tight. He will be uncomfortable walking in it. I reordered in the middle and now it's too big. I love this jacket, I have one for another dog and it keeps him warm so I just custom make it. But be careful if your dog is an in-between size like mine.

My Terrior is the medium size in all other dog coats. I thought this coat would be perfect for her in winter, the problem is the size runs small. I couldn't get him to come to her feet. Size issue aside, this is a great product. I gifted it to my sister who has a Terrior toy and it fits the smaller size perfectly. I recommend getting a few sizes larger than usual.

I should have gone for a small one but I still love this coat! I wish the velcro was on the back because sometimes it sticks to the carpet when going down the stairs and my poor girl gets stuck halfway down the stairs. Keeps you warm and dry. I turn the hood inside out when she puts it on because otherwise she can't see anything, but maybe a little one suits her better.

Overall I like this coat for my dog. The only thing I would probably change about the design is that the velcro on the bottom makes it harder for feet to get in. Maybe it would be easier to put on if there was velcro or a sweater over it. It also advertised a detachable hood, which we didn't have. It also offers great style, comfort and warmth for those cold winter months.

This is a very nice coat but it's too big. First, the measurements they give you to determine what size you need for your dog are far from ideal. Accordingly, I needed a medium for my Shih Tzu/Papillon. We ordered a small one. Still too big. There must be a problem somewhere because as soon as I saw this I decided to return it and order the x-small from Wayfair. For reference, my dog's measurements are: Neck 6.75" Chest 12" Back Length 12" Front Leg Length 6.75". I've attached a photo of her in a coat so you can see how she sits in a size XS. The coat is made of Thinsulate so you get warmth without bulk. Some of the dog coats I've seen look like down jackets and my dog would have a hard time walking in them, but that's not a problem.
