I use Desmond QR plates and clamps on two tripods and two car window mounts, paired with heavy telephoto lenses and spotting scopes. They are very high quality and I never had to worry about attachment points. This clamp is very light and the tension knob feels solid.

Need an adapter for peak grip mounts and this guy will get the job done. The build quality feels solid, and the turnbuckle pulls and loosens much more smoothly than I expected. The product is all metal and has a good weight. I don't have to worry about it not being able to hold a lens as heavy as my 70-200.

the adjustment knob was damaged a lot more in real life than I thought. And there is a very ugly piece of chrome on the side of the handle. Not sure why they added that when they say it's all aluminum. But it is what it is and it doesn't look good to me.

I have tried several Swiss Arca Style adapter plates with different Peak Design products. So far this is the only one I've found that doesn't pinch the anchor lines. It's perfect for this application. All in all, it's well-built hardware at a reasonable price, and it doesn't matter what application you have. This is a reliable adapter and I will be buying more.

(Of course I wouldn't mind if the seller got it right by sending me the case!) Disappointing because otherwise it's a good QR clip at a good price. I have other Desmond products and am happy with them.

Great for Peak Design clip users! This is what you need if you have a Peak design clip on your camera and a Dolica GX600B200 Proline GX tripod. This adapter attaches to your tripod (ideally with the screw adapter provided - I didn't have to buy anything) and then your clip slips straight into it. Once tightened it feels solid and I trust it with my 6D. Highly recommend if you plan to use your Peak Design clip with the Dolica tripod I mentioned!

Although I'll keep both I've ordered this and Sunwayfoto (3 star rating) to compare when I upgrade from Manfrotto RC2 to Arca-Swiss. For additional conversions, more of these are purchased. Was damaged by a Benro 1 B2 ball head which had a 2 piece plate release. The handle unscrews just enough to allow the plate/chamber to slide between the two stops, but NOT to fall out.
