Enhance Lens Stability with Desmond DPL-150 PL150 150mm QR Lens Plate - Arca Swiss Compatible Review

Perfect for my Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6. With an extra screw I added a nylon nut to be 100% sure that the lens doesn't rotate as the anodized aluminum plate has no grip pads. Overall excellent for the price.

Maybe due to my own ignorance I found that I couldn't mount my long lens camera on this QR plate because the "second screw" " bothered with properly aligning the lens/camera combination with the plate i cut off one of the two screws and then the plate should work the way i want it to.

With two small "edges" on the back, it's stable now. There is no more rotation. I mostly made up for it with the length. Very happy with them. I use it on the Nodal Ninja M2 Giga panoramic head, hence the side mount. On the other hand, one of the Nodal Ninja ARCA clips is installed just in case.

This plate is great for securely attaching a Sigma 50-500 lens and my E-5 Olympus DSLR to my stabilizer. This allows long settings for super-telephoto lenses. It's very well made and I'm not worried at all about mounting my gear on this mount. For the money you can't go wrong as long as you have a quality tripod to support your gear.

Purchased to work with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. This lens foot has only 1 hole to attach the foot to the lens plate, this plate gives you 2 screws to attach. When I push the lens plate towards the front of the lens, the flange on the lens shaft doesn't match the curvature of the front of the lens. The plate is too long with many overhanging inscriptions. I would skip reviewing this type of product but as I read some reviews (other sizes) that are wrong I had to write this and help others not to be misled. I need inserts for a specific application and these (100mm and 150mm) looked perfect but I didn't want to take them as some people wrote that they were too small to work with the RRS QR. I bought this lens plate to fit my standard Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 VRII lens sleeve. It's a little long but serves the purpose.
