Good assembly. The welds are a bit dirty but durable. You should have existing bolts on your bike, but you'll probably need to use two of the included rear bolts if your stock rear bolts were shorter (I had). Spacers go inside the frame, washers outside. It was a bit difficult to get in the queue but it worked. I think the spacers would fit perfectly on the small side of the backrest/frame but they were too big. This prevents a slight play in the landing. But overall not bad for the price.

No instructions but looks good

No instructions like everyone else but I found a video of someone installing a similar backrest/rack on their Vulcan S which I watched . The bars to the rear were bent at first, but it all came together when I attached them to the bracket and trunk. It was definitely a pain to get up the butt and I'm glad it's in place. See the highlighted image to see where I attached the supplied screws (circled in red). You will need to remove the plastic piece (circled in green) and place a bracket…

The quality is great for the price, but the wrong screws came.

The back is great, the powder coating is good, the welds are good, the cushion is soft, and the leather/vinyl is soft. The only problem I had was the mounting bolts didn't fit my 2014 Yamaha Stryker. 2 screws with the correct thread and size, 2 other screws with the wrong thread pitch or size. Machined housings for installation devices were also powder-coated. I had to tap holes to properly screw in the screws I bought. Overall the quality of the product was great, but the hardware that came…

Worthy for the price. Yamaha Bolt 2014

Received and installed a few hours ago. No instructions or diagrams with the product so it took a few tries to put everything together in the right order. Typical of these Chinese products. I also had to get some shorter screws than the ones provided and standoffs to install it. I think you could use standard screws but they will be stressed as the post is about 1" wider than the frame rails. All holes matched perfectly. The spacers were 13mm and the new bolts were M8 x 70mm. They barely…

Suitable for Yamaha SCR 950 and Bolt!

Neither Yamaha nor the aftermarket designed a crossbar, backrest or luggage rack for the SCR950. This backrest/luggage crossbar is for the Yamaha Bolt but I adapted it to my SCR by exiting the trunk by inserting the front support bolt into the factory bolt hole (just above the rear shock) and drill a 3/ 8" hole in the rear fender for the rear support. Install the luggage rack and also slide the tray under the rear brake/turn signal assembly; However, all you can carry on the trunk would be the…

THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS IS ALMOST INACCEPTABLE! Read it first!

This product is a valuable product of good quality. I also found that this is the ONLY backrest that can be mounted on the Vulcan S with Kawasaki factory saddlebags. If you have factory saddlebags, this product is a great option. HOWEVER -- The instructions are useless. They are just an exploded assembly and do not show which screws go where (they are different lengths). So the reviewer installed a longer bolt instead of a shorter bolt, and when the passenger got on his bike. (Suspension…
