At first my first reaction was that the adhesive backing was very difficult to remove and I wasted several sheets because removing both sides of the paper caused it to wrinkle and stick together. With that in mind, I applied it to most of the areas that distracted my cat somewhat from furniture scratches for the first few days. After that, I basically collected more cat and dog hair and fell off the couch, causing me to lose focus.

Good. sticks almost too well. Maybe I shouldn't have left it on for more than a month before attempting to replace it. Stuck to my new couches too well and took some fabric off of it, but next time I'll try something like a small amount of talcum powder or cornstarch on the side of the couch before applying to make it a little less sticky. As for the intended use, it definitely stopped cats from scratching and ruining my new couches!
