I bought a dw511 years ago. Not on Raven. Used in the household for normal drilling and screwdriving, no impact drilling. The armature has a very small diameter worm drive which wears out its teeth and the gear it drives loses teeth as well. New rebar with gear about $60. , not worth repairing. I bought this drill for my 2-4 inch hole saws. Thought it would be great with an angled handle and powerful amp. I have to say it worked perfectly for the 1st warranty period. Shortly thereafter (13 months) it just stopped for me when I drilled a 1/2" hole for a lag bolt. I was very disappointed. I have a Milwaukee 20 year old (6.8 amp with no angle handle) that always still working as well as the day I bought it. When Dewalt died I replaced it with another 1/2" Milwaukee drive with handle. I…
