If DeWalt is worth the time and money

I have a new Kobalt 60 gallon compressor, after being idle the oil at the pump was dark and smoky. I call compressor tech and they told me that this is all part of a break in and I just need to change the oil and use synthetic oil (they recommend their cobalt oil). I was looking for a good oil at a good price, not a good oil that would cost an arm and a leg a gallon. So this DeWalt is perfect, the price is perfect, the product is top notch. Hard to find locally, but Dewalt "blue " is my thing.

This is a fully synthetic compressor oil, what more could you ask for? Lately I've always been on the lookout for a fully synthetic oil for any rotating application that requires oil. The best synthetic compressor oil on the market!

I purchased a Craftsman Professional 27 gallon vertical compressor with a US made Devilbiss tank and it has worked great for my needs. Sure, the manual says you should change your compressor oil every 6 months or so, and the fine print on another page says you MUST use synthetic compressor oil. Damn.
