Disappointing performance from top brand

Using this tool from a well-known brand in Industrial and Scientific category, our team found that its 3-speed brushless design didn't translate to the expected power. The grip is also uncomfortable and the battery life was lackluster.

So much torque and power!

Should have bought sooner. My old brushless drill I bought five years ago works fine but performance is noticeably weaker, probably due to the batteries. Ever since I started buying Dewalt brushless drills I've fallen in love with them, especially for the torque and overall power, not to mention the battery that seems to last a long time. the great power it has by using the Kreg pocket hole system. I love it a little and i really hate it.

I bought a 990 when the clutch on my DC790 finally failed. Used this thing to hell and loved it. 5 stars across the board. I was hoping to have the same experience with the 990. When I opened up the new drill I loved the feel, the balance and the power it gave. However, once I got used to the mechanical clutch on my 790, I was certain the drill had a faulty clutch.
