Review on Dive into the Power-packed DEWALT DCD991B: Lithium Brushless 3-Speed Wonder! by Bob Fasho

Should have bought sooner. My old brushless drill I bought five years ago works fine but performance is noticeably weaker, probably due to the batteries. Ever since I started buying Dewalt brushless drills I've fallen in love with them, especially for the torque and overall power, not to mention the battery that seems to last a long time. the great power it has by using the Kreg pocket hole system. For simple projects I often just use a pocket hole to create simple but strong connections (using wood glue of course) for rough framing of things around the house. My old Dewalt drill would sometimes not work properly, especially when there was a knot or especially when drilling into hardwood. This thing is so strong it drilled 2x4's like butter. While I keep another drill bit, I haven't touched it since I got this drill bit. I might end up using this Max bit for the pocket hole system and an old bit for regular drilling. The ergonomics of this new brushless drill are also worth the price. The LED is always good when the area gets dark and helps if it stays on for a while after drilling. I don't know how many times these new drill bits came in handy with the LEDs on instead of trying to grab a flashlight or using my phone as a flashlight. In general, this is one of the best exercises. This combined with a brushless impact wrench makes it the perfect combination for woodworking. I do not work for Dewalt and do not receive free products. In fact, I use some things from Bosch and other brands for personal reasons that don't always shine with Dewalt, but overall I like their product so far.
