Fragile piece of 'construction' hardware

The handle used to raise and lower the laser is held in place by a tiny plastic rod which broke off and after a few uses then has snapped off completely. This is easy to fix by inserting a tiny metal rod as a passage holder. The fact that they have reduced the cost of this important part of the tripod is unforgivable,it should have been made stronger.Legs don't seem permanent either future so I really don't recommend this to any serious builder, other than that I won't recommend those crappy…

wow what a bummer. Dewalt shouldn't name everything

I'm on my third. what else! I'm afraid to put my $400 laser on it. it might break. I would recommend everyone to stay away from it. Dewalt needs to stop naming everything to keep up with Milwaukee. Start working on the modular system/tools people need. stop making products that people don't need. Start a quality control. do not rush to launch products. and, for heaven's sake, stop posting products with no picture on the site. great that you are working on this. But even the lack of photos on…

Pros
  • The DEWALT Laser has an aluminum construction
Cons
  • Some little things

Weak, cheap leg clips won't hold. Returned.

This is one of the worst tripods I have ever owned. The yellow plastic cam clamps on the legs are too loose. One of them is not holding the leg under its own weight. Everyone else allows me to pull or push the leg. The B-pillar height lock knob simply threads through the plastic but is unthreaded so you can't even turn it by hand. -It didn't even pass our test right out of the box to give it a chance and use it. It wasn't worth the trouble if he couldn't support his own weight. Of course it's…

  • Carrying case included
Cons
  • Not sure

not what I expected from Dewalt

The tripod looks good, but functionally it leaves a lot of room for improvement. The leg clamps aren't too tight, but they're firm enough to hold a light load (for now, anyway). The turret vial is far from calibrated compared to the tripod vial. If the tripod bubble is set exactly on center and the head bubble is aligned on center, a 360 degree head rotation will show that the head is not rotating properly. When rotated 180 degrees, the head is level with a full bladder out and 1/4 of the…

Pros
  • Laser tripod with tilting head and built-in bubble level
Cons
  • No.

Overpriced junk

Don't waste your money on this. Instead, buy a tripod for your camera. Even the cheapest ones are more durable and last longer. The mounting screw is too short to do anything with. The design is similar to what you would buy at a dollar store. Slam a dollar store would be better than this junk. It's so fragile that it literally broke the first time I stretched my legs. I put in a longer mounting screw and used this tripod a total of 2 times. The third time, one of the legs broke off the base…

Pros
  • Folding head laser tripod with built in bubble level
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Not for professional use. Homeowner/DIY maybe.

I have used this Dewalt tripod twice. I have an audio and video integration company so it will be widely used. Adjusting speakers, projection screens, TVs, etc. Decided to return Revain. In short, all components are very weak plastic and aluminum. The clamps that adjust and secure the legs are very, very cheap, made of lightweight plastic. One of the two of the six adjustment clips is barely tight enough to hold the foot in place. They will surely fail when supported by a heavy piece of…
