I would give it one star but luckily DeWalt's customer service is still top notch and they replaced my broken blade. Installed a new blade, used it 2 times on Monday and it broke right at the weld.
These blades dull very quickly. I've tried a few boxes of these and they all dulled after just a few cuts when cutting sheet aluminum. Why nobody else can make quality products. Everything there is just junk, even from such famous brands as this one.
Purchased in the past. For some reason I bought 3 boxes and the manufacturer cut them wrong. 1 box was good but I'm sending the other 2 back hoping the new ones are cut correctly. Not the seller's fault, but I was in a dilemma because I didn't realize it until I needed it and was an hour from any store.
Of the 3 packs of blades I bought (9 blades total) one broke as soon as I used it to cut a piece of piping, one was too long and couldn't do it at all cut, 1 was done with the teeth going the wrong way. I'm using the 4th blade and it seems to be working fine, but I'm worried that the next blade I use will fail.
Great price for 3 blades. The installation is quite easy. A problem. They are all "inside out" when shipped from the factory, so the teeth are pointing the wrong way when installed. They must point in the direction of the arrows on the drive wheels. I had to twist and turn each blade. This is easy, but wearing gloves is recommended. Not sure, but maybe some saws work in the opposite direction, or maybe whoever welded them just screwed up. I can still recommend her.
Given the stress I put these blades on I'm surprised they last so long. Not sure if I accidentally got the 1/2" armor plate from a junkyard as it resists drilling. These blades stoically gnawed at around 0.5mm/s and outlasted the battery. They were much quicker on softer 2" HSSTs. Of the 6 packs I've bought so far only 1 blade was upside down and that was easily fixed with a pair of leather work gloves.
