Misrepresented Industrial and Scientific Cutting Tool

The DEWALT DW5471 bit is a disappointment. As a result of my tests, I determined that it isn't capable of cutting through materials as it claims. The only positive thing about this product is its carbide tip. As for the negatives, it's just a waste of money. It's an expensive bit that is better off being used to decorate your toolbox. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient industrial and scientific cutting tool, This is not the one for you.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to carbide construction.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other drill bits on the market.

Better Than Bosch Bit

I bought a 1 inch Bosch bit which died after drilling ten holes in granite field stone. I bought this as a replacement. Twenty holes so far and no problem. However, I strongly recommend: Pre-drilling with a smaller drill, e.g. B. 5/8", resulting in less stress on the larger drill bit and faster overall cutting.

Pros
  • Masonry Bit
Cons
  • Outdated
