DEWALT DWHT36107 25FT Tape Measure Review

I bought this because my old tape measure locking button broke. After 30 days, this is no longer blocked. Otherwise it works great, but with as many hanging pictures as I have, locking is very important to me. That's the only reason I bought it. I am disappointed in this tape measure and expected more durability from Dewalt.

So far, it looks very durable. And it hit just over 12 before crashing (which I need). It did not have the numbers listed on the tape measure as shown in many reviews and even the FAQ section for this product. It's still very useful. But its big disappointment is that it has no number markings.

Worst measuring tape. I'm a Dewalt fan, but this product sucks for one simple reason: the tape measure tip is so bad it won't even stick to straight wood like 2x4. You will need both hands to measure, one hand to hold the end of the band, the other hand to tighten the band. Sooooo annoying and totally useless.

Three things made me purchase the Dewalt 36107: 1. 25 foot tape measure. Check if it works well; 2nd, 10 feet protruding so I can take longer measurements without an assistant. Try it, it worked too. Third, fractions are marked with numbers, not just divisions, to help my aging eyes read measurements accurately. Oops, not cool. For some reason, Dewalt changed this feature. As a 24 year homeowner you need a good tape measure! In the past I've always used a Stanley on a friend's recommendation because it keeps a good distance straight before breaking.
