It's really frustrating

I thought since I'm DeWalt it would be DeWalt saw clamps. But they are very clumsy and poorly constructed, always getting in the way somehow and getting stuck where they cannot be let go. The adjustment screw is damn hard to tighten/adjust. I'm really disappointed with it. They could not have felt cheaper or worse designed/matched to the saw. Find some clamp clips instead. Surely there is something better.

Yes, the DW7082 looks a lot better (Quick Release

Is this an official DeWalt part? Yes. "DeWalt" is printed on the clip body. Do they fit the DW715? Yes. A bit of fiddling with them give them up, but don't give up.Move the clip all the way up, unscrew it until it's fully open, twist it until it falls into the hole in the frame, twist the top back and clip again down to a comfortable position. Maybe there's an easier way, but that's what I needed. How are they different from the DW7082? First, the DW7082 is four times the price at $60 eachโ€ฆ

They work with DW708

They work with my old DW708 12 inch rail car miter saw. There are decals on the saw that say "Use clamps for smaller boards". The term "less" is relative. . It looks like what DeWALT means is somewhere in the 2 to 3 foot less range. These clips WILL NOT WORK for small pieces of wood, say 2 to 3 inches. As other reviews have noted, the clamps are LARGE and block the number of sawing positions. They appear to have been specifically designed to allow NO possibility of them getting in the blade'sโ€ฆ

Fits DW715 except when they block saw head

Holds material well for most cuts on my Dewalt DW715 (Type 3) miter saw, but they can interfere with saw head movement. Current Dewalt documentation states that these clamps are compatible with Dewalt DW717, DW718 (Type 2 and 3) and DWS780 miter saws. Please note that DW715 is currently NOT listed. They now recommend clamp #153650-00 for the DW715 miter saw (and a number of their other miters). LEFT: It is not possible to perform a 45 degree chamfer when this clamp is installed on the leftโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing

Ha, actually they are fine and work well, but because when not in use, the left side folds out clockwise to the side, and the right side folds out counterclockwise to the side, because the pull handles are on the right side pulls the The handle engages on the right when folded back and hangs over the rail on the left. You can take them off, but let's face it when that happens. , it's almost lost. RIP, the left lateral support arm that has seemingly vanished from existence. Cracked. Theโ€ฆ

Two real pens?

I didn't think about it before I bought it. This is a pair of identical clamps. The Amazon product image shows the lock in the center of the sculpted arm, making the clamps symmetrical left to right. Well what you actually get is a thumb grip offset to one side. This works great on the right side of the saw, but on the left side of the saw the thumb grip is pointing inward causing it to bump against the fence. I have a DW716XPS, maybe it's just me? I have no idea. I've included photos so youโ€ฆ
