Best designed bread knife

I saw this knife at a local chef's house fair. It's essentially a bread knife (serrated), but it's not straight, it's curved (think long u). This design allows you to cut the slices all the way through - no more going back to cut the bottom crust😊

Pros
  • DEXSTEEL patent design High alloy, high carbon stainless steel for extra sharpness
Cons
  • Protection

Great knife perfect for real bread

Great knife especially when you bake bread with natural sourdough. One reviewer complained about the sharp spike at the end - yes, it's sharp. This is a wonderful and necessary feature of a bread knife as that sharp point can do the hard work of slicing without the jagged crust. Its worth it. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Improved blade shape for easy slicing
Cons
  • I don't remember but something happened

Great knife: Bread knife

I bought this for my mother. She saw it in a bread shop and had to have it. They gave her the product number because it's not commercially available and she asked me to look it up. She loves it. High quality and quite fast delivery. I loved the 2-day Prime, but even without it, it arrived in less than a week. Big.

Pros
  • Impenetrable blade closure for maximum hygiene and durability
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

My father bought it for us 6 years ago as a wedding gift. We use it to slice our challah each week - a bread that is very soft and crumbles easily with less than wonderful knives. We ended up giving a silver one which wasn't that good. Ideal for bagels and crusty bread. (And actually tomatoes). Highly recommended. Buying online now to buy as a gift for my father-in-law who lost his (lame) silver. I have to paint his pen. ;)

Pros
  • Hand sharpened to the last edge
Cons
  • There are errors

Bread slices with butter. Very light knife.

I like that this knife cuts very well, very sharp out of the box. Bread cuts perfectly, I can't imagine a cleaner way. I appreciate that it's made in the USA and I love the wooden handle. It's a little light in the hand, which is probably good for bread as it doesn't help break up the bread. You certainly won't be bored. Only downside is the 3/4 shank sticks back slightly over the grip and can rub on your hand, not really a problem, just a slight annoyance. The brass rivets on the left also…

Pros
  • Unique blade geometry for longevity, easy to restore performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller
