Top quality filleting knife by Dexter

I fish a lot for salmon. I have ever used. Flexible enough to penetrate skin and strong enough to cut through small bones. Dexter keeps his blade very durable after use.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Tried and tested knife is the best in the kitchen and dining room

Have been using these knives for at least 30 years - won't buy anything else. If properly sharpened and properly cut, it will hold up the sharpening very well. I can only get one season with Steel. Clean and sharpen it over the winter and it's good for another year.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great knife! best boning knife

This knife is razor sharp right out of the box and looks very professional. The sheath that comes with it holds the knife very well, I wouldn't hesitate to wear it on my belt. For the quality and performance you get from this very easy to clean knife, you can't beat the value.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The perfect filleting knife for any sea bass

The perfect filleting knife for any sea bass, salmon, trout or long cod. We have used this on many trips off the California coast. My dad has a Cutco fillet knife. Very expensive. And we both prefer using this knife to his. The sheath isn't the best, but it works and provides a great place to store the knife.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I am silent

Clean your own fish now!

My husband used to clean sea fish that I caught because I always vomited the fish. He used his Dexter Russell knives (he's an avid saltwater fisherman and has a range). He made it look so easy I bought one to use and voila, looks like I know what I'm doing now! Who knew, the right knife (and a bit of practice) was all I needed :)

Pros
  • I always liked it
Cons
  • I have doubts

How much sharper can a knife be?

This knife should come with a pack of plasters! I've been sawing for a long time and this knife caught me! So sharp it glides over a chicken like a surgeon's scalpel. I had to halve the pressure and let the knife do its job. I will keep buying better and better knives until I find the perfect one. I just have to move slowly so I don't amputate anything.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Contact seller
