Nice finish - measurement

Mine is almost perfect. There is a scratch on one side, but it certainly doesn't affect it. This should only be used as a quick guide and seems accurate considering you are measuring a slot and not a hole. I measured my drill bits with the other side of the template. Very accurate for this purpose and was able to properly size some unmarked drill bits. Keep in mind that this isn't as accurate with stranded wire, as the wire needs to be slightly thicker than solid wire. This applies toโ€ฆ

Not very accurate: Thickness

I really wanted to like this tool. It is made of durable stainless steel with very clear markings. The problem is that the accuracy is not very good. For example, I have a 0.007" feeler gauge that I measured to 0.0075" with a precision micrometer. This pin fits the DGOL's .0078 hole as it should, but not the .0085 hole. In other words, the .0085 slot is smaller than the .0078 slot! Some of this may be due to burrs in the grooves. I found that after running the probe through some of the slotsโ€ฆ

WRONG AND MISTAKES: DON'T BELIEVE! I tested with a marked 12 AWG wire/conductor.

1. I used #12 AWG (stripped) solid copper wire to ensure the DGOL wire gauge is accurate and reliable; IT IS NOT! because #12 AWG solid wire fits snugly into the DGOL groove marked "14" (straight piece, not a circle). Cal.2. Power cables are YELLOW and BROKEN, the latter have a larger diameter, so there is a separate marking on the wire stripper. The gauge of the electrical conductor must indicate which parts of the wheel are measured with SOLID conductors and which other parts are measuredโ€ฆ
