Modern Metal Futon Frame: DHP Vermont, Classic Design, Full Size - Black Review

Good frame for the price. We needed something quick and cheap as we had a lot of relatives and friends this summer. I managed to purchase the frame and 8 inch mattress (separately) for less than $200. A great investment so far. I have attached a photo but the mattress was purchased separately. You only get the frame.

This is a beautiful futon so it gets 2 stars. I also bought a mattress specially designed for this frame which looks great. However, once the mattress is in place, it is nearly impossible to fold it back into the seat. I'm hoping if I leave it folded for a few days it will work easier, but I'm not sure. The instructions also leave a lot to be desired, since on most pages it is unclear whether you are working on the back or front of the frame.

In short, an absolutely inferior product. Cheap, fragile materials, once the mattress was placed on the futon it became almost impossible to turn it back into a sofa without much effort. Makes popping and pinging noises with every conversion, yes it only cost $117 but I don't think it will last 6 months. My biggest gripe is that it didn't have a "ratchet" conversion mechanism but a folding spring arrangement which works great without a mattress but as I said with a mattress on it takes a lot of

I started at 7pm and finished at 10:30pm. The instructions were a bit confusing. And thought some of the items were part of the assembly, they were at the bottom of the box and broken. But I spoke to someone and they said it was part of the packaging and just to recycle those items. I wanted to return the bed frame to the company. Thankfully, Amazon's customer service knew what those worlds were. They told me to go through all the items in the brochure and see if anything was missing or…

The frame seems pretty solid but I haven't used it much as it took 6 hours to assemble. Here are some tips: You will need a drill and a set of bits. Much of the assembly requires the screws to be driven hard into holes in unthreaded metal. These must be pre-drilled with a drill, otherwise the screw heads will tear off.
