Diamond Farrier 61B Rounding Hammer Review

I bought this hammer a few years ago to demonstrate forging and now after some wear and use it still looks great, how many times does that happen in days now?!?!

This is my first experience with a rounding hammer and it won't be my last! Arrived very quickly, I think 3 days after I ordered it. When I received it I noticed the rounded face had a pretty sharp bevel on the face, a bit of time with a file and sandpaper cleaned it up nicely. Look for Hammer Facial. The grip was good, but I sanded the varnish off and started oiling the grip with boiled linseed oil. It's really starting to take on that nice, used warning look.

It's fairly well balanced, but both the rounded and flat sides had odd beveled edges that needed redoing. I removed the beveled edges and smoothed out the almost flat side.
