Last year I bought 4 for my home and like everyone else I hoped I would never need one. One was used today. I stepped away from the brazier and my pan caught fire. In a panic, we opened the oven and flames spurted out. My daughter grabbed a blanket and threw it over the burning pot. The fire went out immediately. We were so thankful for the foresight! I hope you never need them, but you'll be lucky to have them if you ever have a small fire.

I don't know if the blanket works because I didn't have a fire to use it. It looks well made and if it works as advertised it's a bonus. The one I tested was of good quality. Folding it up to fit in the suitcase wasn't a big deal, but I don't recommend doing it too often. Don't hang it on the wall in the kitchen like the photo, it's not a decoration. Haven't used these fire blankets yet - thank goodness - but was very pleased with the whole package when it arrived. Four blankets with four hooks for easy hanging and four pairs of gloves to protect your hands in case of fire. Two adults, two large dogs and two cats live in our house. I bought these for my husband, myself and the dogs as I think in the event of a fire I could pull out much smaller cats without this shelter.
