    ELASTIC BELT!

    Contrary to the picture, these pants have a flat front and an elastic waistband at the back. I bought them thinking they would have a flat waist like the picture (we need them for a wedding) but they don't. They are still excellent quality Dickies but they are just not what is pictured. We're saving them for school and buying another pair of Dickies flat waist pants.

    Excellent purchase! - my new rating

    I ordered these for my son for a wedding we were attending. They fit perfectly and I love the reinforced knees! Especially since you can't tell they're improved just by looking at them. They look like regular dress pants. My son now wears them to school. He prefers them to jeans because he thinks they're more comfortable. I am very happy with this purchase!

    My review smelled bad.

    A little small. First of all, the pants smelled bad. I don't know how it was kept by the seller. Would have returned as it didn't fit (and smell) but was mistakenly donated to a charity.

    Khaki school trousers. Ducks are the best I've found. They are durable both at school and in the wash. The price is a bit higher than the "uniform" in other places, but they are worth it.

    I ordered a size 16 and it had an elastic band at the back of the waist. Only smaller sizes listed to have this. the picture was misleading.

    Large! feedback from me

    My son usually wears a size 6 and I ordered a size 6. They're a bit long, but otherwise fit well. At first glance you can see that the quality is VERY GOOD. They are thick and have reinforcements on the knees. The waist is not adjustable but the waist is semi elastic so I can see they will last a while as they allow for growth. I bought them and shorts. The quality is much better AND the price is LOWER than the official school uniform store for my kids.

    Ideal trousers for tall and slim children

    Perfect fit for my son. Size 6 when young. It comes with an elastic band at the waist (wish it was an adjustable band) but still fits my son's body well. He's 44 pounds 44.5 inches and he's slim.

    Pants of excellent quality

    These are very durable pants of excellent quality. However, I can't give them five stars because they didn't live up to the advertising. I bought them specifically for a flexible waist as my son is slim. But the pants had no waist adjustment and I had to adjust them. If your child doesn't need a waist adjuster then I would recommend these pants but they are not fitted as for children with a particularly small waist.

    Finding white shorts for the boys was a challenge, especially in October. They were necessary for Colonel Sanders' costume. My son is between the ages of 8 and 10 on most brands of pants. 8 is a bit small and too short. I ordered 8 and 10 and was happy to see size 10. Many brands do 10-12 and it's too big.     Pants are too big in the waist

    Unfortunately I have listened to all the reviews that said the Dickies shorts/pants are 2 sizes too small. My son is now a 16 so I ordered a 18 and a 20 (shorts) to see which suits him best. Nobody did! They wouldn't let me trade them for two 16s because it wasn't Revane's fault; it was mine So I had to return them (luckily for free) and re-order a pair of 16s (which made me pay more for shipping).     Wears like iron

    Our local school requires khaki or navy pants and after a few years at school we've tried every brand imaginable. We've been trying soft brands of khaki for a while, but my sons are just too harsh and coarse in these skinny pants.     Very durable, great quality!

    I bought a size 8 in khaki for a school uniform. Sizing wise my son is very slim and needs to wear a belt to hold them up. In some sizes they no longer have elastics inside to tighten them, which is a bit uncomfortable, but again we are talking about size 8. The length is perfect and matches his other size 8 pants from other brands. . The difference is that they have a higher waist than, say, his cargo or jeans.
