I received a special one from the warehouse, it was marked.

I received a special one from the warehouse, on the box was an indication of a calibration problem. Yes of course it has issues, it won't calibrate after 24 hours (yes I tried 2 sets of new batteries to be safe). As often as I need it (once a week) factory recalibration before use is a hassle, but not a problem as it's used for rough work, not finishing work.

Excellent value for money

Great product as advertised. This is the third digital protractor I've bought and it's just adorable. A sturdy construction, a magnet strong enough to hook onto a race car chassis, and readings accurate to the hundredth give me the accuracy I need. The LED is bright so I don't have to use the hold function every time like some competitors. Numerous exits are a plus, such as B. Converting angles to degrees to pitch on the fly, i.e. 1/4 inch down per foot. Great tool, highly recommend. R.Martin

The screen is easy to read

I recently bought this digital camera. I'm fed up with my old watch face that I've had for years and who knows how many times I've dropped it. So it's time to go digital. The screen is easy to read. I like the "Hold" function. I have been involved with cars for many years and have had to measure angles on many occasions. This device makes it very easy to measure frame angles, engine and gearbox angles, the back of the case, etc. This is where the "Hold" function really comes into play, trying…

We bought two of these for a special annual inspection.

We bought two of these for an annual special inspection. Before we use them, we send them to our calibration lab to ensure they meet the manufacturer's specifications. One passed, the other missed the shot. Digi-Pas sends us a new one which passed the first time but when the calibration showed up a year after purchase it failed. There is no way to adjust the calibration on them and the manufacturer does not regulate the calibration. Lesson: Just because it gives an accurate measurement doesn't…

This digital level exceeds my expectations!

I bought this level to use for aligning the suspension on my car. I had another brand of digital level and it wasn't accurate enough for this type of job - this level performed similarly to this one, but it just didn't live up to the advertised accuracy. The accuracy of the Digi-Pas DWL280-PRO is 0.5 degrees near 0 and 90 degrees and 0.2 degrees between 1 and 89 degrees. I built a test rig and checked the accuracy of the resulting level. I was amazed to see that this level worked with an…

Excellent digital level for checking plumb or bubble level

DWL-280Pro bought along with DWL-80Pro for checking vertical alignment on work tools (which worked reasonably well, also my mechanic's level can't be read from above down , which was a great advantage of digital levels). The magnet will suffice if placed on a large enough surface (no worse than other large digital levels I own). The buttons are a little hard to press, but they're covered to keep water out, so I don't mind. Tested both planes for 0 degrees and 90 degrees and noticed a slight…

Revan is back in business!

The first one I ordered didn't work. Actually, it was two different things. The main problem was that the electronics were "wound up". Even after calibration, when the device was horizontal and giving me a reading of "0.00", when I cycled it showed a ridiculous number, say 16.73°. In addition, the horizontal dragonfly has been shifted by almost a degree. However, I really wanted this digital level to work because it had all the features I was looking for. Waterproof, selectable display, etc. So

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • Doubtful

Practically useless toy

Update JUNE 2019. I've left my original 2015 review intact below, but over the past four years I've come to the conclusion that my initial thoughts were more hopeful than accurate. Although my vision is still partially impaired, I no longer believe that a digital level is the solution to poor vision problems. Yes, digital levels can measure fractions of a degree, but that extra accuracy doesn't mean they're any faster or easier to use in practice, especially with very short torpedo levels. He…
