Low quality, sharp raw metal that will cut you!

Save money. Even if it costs, it should be of better quality these days. Instead it has an uneven plastic hinge and a VERY SHARP aluminum base! The aluminum base is the main horizontal platform for this level. UNFORTUNATELY it is only cut from one piece of aluminum profile. It has NOT been polished, smoothed or sanded! Worth buying! Two Comments Worth Reading Below

Overall this product is great. I do roofing and use it every day. I have two main comments: 1) I wish the digital reader could read upside down. I get the sloping ceilings by laying them against the rafters and sometimes it's hard to stand upside down depending on the angle of my stair position; 2) One of my two DWL80E stopped turning on after only six months. Functional. About as accurate as at the level of a large hardware store. Lack of display storage can be a deal breaker.

I compared it with a good quality spirit level and a spirit level in a large box. After I calibrated it, it worked about as well as it did at the big box level. It's not as good at leveling as a high level because it wanders around 0 and makes it difficult to locate a dead level.
