Don't buy those cheap flat indoor antennas!

I use SlingTV with AirTV to connect with locals. I used to use one of those black flat indoor antennas that are 4/5 stars and cheap. I assumed the reviews meant it worked well. Not correct! Bought three different ones and tried them all. I had them in the attic by the window. also check outside the window. I made sure I was 100% aligned with the tower. No matter what, my OTA channels displayed in my AirTV setup showed a red (weak) signal. Half the time they look awful or won't even load. I…

Here's my answer! - Satellite TV

Works well. I catch about 20-25 stops. Some stations need to be tuned in by adjusting the antenna. The antenna remote and my TV remote share the same frequency, so if the volume changes in either direction, so does the antenna. A small signal that is eliminated when the volume is used in short bursts and not by pressing the button. I made a directional map to target various stations 100 miles away. If I'm aiming at a city full of barbs, I'll easily pick up any local items even if I'm not aiming

Excellent reception/easy installation

Let me start by saying that I gave up DirecTV the day after the installation. Sure, I live in Southern California and there are over 100 digital channels available, but this was a great purchase that paid for itself in the first month. To be honest, it may have been an hour from the moment I opened the box to when I started scanning digital channels. Very easy to assemble with just basic tools. An electric screwdriver helped speed up assembly/installation and I used a drill to run a conduit…

Absolutely free Best in satellite TV

Used for a long time. I was able to pick up stations 75 miles away that I couldn't pick up with the satellite by placing it on a 17 foot pole. It stopped working a few days ago and I took it apart and found slight corrosion between the contact points that hold the coax wire to the house wire. I scraped off the corrosion, sprayed a battery terminal cleaner, and then sprayed the car battery terminal coating. After this procedure everything worked. I use around 28-30 channels in my area and other…

The device works great

The antenna itself is very light, feels like cheap plastic and weighs almost nothing, which bothered me when I first unpacked it. Assembly was very easy, comes with written instructions in "English" and there are videos on YouTube of people putting this thing together if you prefer visual instructions to reading. I was surprised by the reception quality with such light devices. It comes with a motor and remote control so you can point the antenna remotely, but honestly if you're looking up to…

Buy a camera. :) - Satellite TV

I have a problem area for TV, mobile phone and almost every other type of reception. Near the shore of Lake Michigan, several decent hills rise about a mile to the east and help block reception from the nearest TV stations 40 to 60 miles away. So my experience is not typical. The antenna comes in a small box with about a dozen individual pieces. Easy to assemble. This could be done by a child. Be careful not to loosen any of the small screws. The metal "mast" is about 1 inch in diameter and…
