does what it's supposed to do

Used to convert the digital optical audio output from my Samsung TV to analog left and right audio channels. I connected a mono RCA to 3.5mm cable from the DAC output to the 3.5mm/Toslink input on two of my Echo studios. This is the only way to simultaneously stream stereo TV audio to the Echo Studio (other than connecting it to a Fire TV device). If you connect an optical cable directly to Echo studios connected via a stereo pair, audio will only come out of one of the speakers. I also tried…

Pros
  • Sample rate support

I love it! suitable for industrial electrical applications

Not yet. I used to have a device for this so I can use my reg plug in my headphones for my curved Samsung 4k TV. It didn't last long, it was the USB cable for the power cord from the device to the outlet and as soon as I unplugged it from the device the part holding the USB device broke and rattled inside. So this time I chose a round tip; Power cord for this type of device and didn't see any reviews at the time so decided to give it a try and it had a coupon and a bonus, it comes with a remote

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No instructions available

I really, really like this DAC for its performance and for the price and how it handles volume and bass. I only found one flaw in this unit and that was the power supply. It seems my system (amplifiers, signal processors, etc.) is very sensitive to signal noise. I've had another system in the past where I've had constant AC power fluctuations and/or very high noise from the mids and tweeters. When I connected the device to the included power supply for the first time, I immediately noticed…

  • D/A converter
