Easy handling for remote controls and accessories

I had to quickly find out what data my Samsung remote control was sending and repeat it with the ESP8266. Worked like a champ.

Pros
  • βœ… Power supply: 5V
Cons
  • Negative impression

Very bad quality. The Vcc and Data pins have been shorted.

Very poor quality. The Vcc and Data pins were shorted out due to solder leaking between the two pins. For the high price you can expect good quality.

Pros
  • βœ… Based on 38kHz IR receiver sensor
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Incorrect product name

The title says 38khz twice. This is not a 38kHz circuit. It just has an infrared receiver, an infrared sensor emitter and a couple of resistors. I made the mistake of buying the circuit unanticipated and assuming it would come with some signal generation given the high price.

Pros
  • βœ… Modulation frequency: 38Khz
Cons
  • There are nuances

This is not a 38kHz emitter.

These little IR modules are seldom clearly described. Read carefully. This "38kHz Infrared Receiver 38kHz Infrared Sensor Module Sensor" has 38kHz in the name, which makes doubly believe that both the receiver and transmitter operate at 38kHz. This receiver detects 38kHz and outputs a logic level AFTER it sees a burst of 8 or more 38kHz pulses. However, a continuous 38 kHz signal is not visible. This is a great circuit for a remote control TV, which is why it's so cheap. The emitter is just an…

Pros
  • βœ… Can be used for remote control, Can be compatible with Wrobot 38kHz IR emitter digital sensor
Cons
  • Upgradeable
