Good value for money - make sure the connections are correct

Works as advertised. I used a 32GB flash drive and it captured video/audio perfectly. A note (may be obvious); The HDMI output must be connected to a monitor for the device to function properly. It makes sense that you want to make sure the signals are there. I'll mention this if anyone can buy one of these to use as a recorder for an old DV camcorder (with component or composite video/audio outputs). You will also need a small HDMI camera monitor. Decent $$$ value. Let's see if he lasts long.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Approx

Works perfectly! for internal components

This unit was the best way to capture video using the legacy (or HDMI) inputs and HDMI outputs. I've only used it once, but it recorded video from a camcorder to a flash drive. It was then easy to upload the file to a computer for processing, editing, etc. It was the easiest and best video capture I've tried lately. The capture itself does not require a connection to a computer as it is captured via a USB connection to a flash drive or other storage device. The quality of the video obviously…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Expensive

I bought this to convert my old VHS tapes to digital files. Several VHS tapes that have worked with this unit have worked great. But only some of them. Apparently the device tries too hard to recognize the case where someone might try to digitize a store-bought VHS film (as if anyone would do it today!). As a result, on many of my tapes it would arbitrarily stop recording or even refuse to start with a blinking light, which presumably means it thinks the video is invalid. If he just recorded…

Great little thing breathed new life into old camcorders

So far so good. Records via component and HDMI from my two Canon HDV camcorders. It's only 10 Mbps, but the compression quality seems really good. I wouldn't try to do green screen work or complex color grading with it, but for general use it's more than enough. If my tests continue to be successful, I will buy another card for my HVX 200. p2 Roads and 4:2:2 100Mbps aren't always needed for talking heads or the like. I'm going to add a small HDMI monitor to it to make it the poor man's Atomos…

Definitely the best in its price range, although simple

The product works quite well if you have an analog input which I used to connect component cables. The quality of the shot is excellent, although it's a little darker than what you see. It is very acceptable and of good quality. Where the box wobbles a bit is the fact that when it's off it can't remember any settings, which are very few. If you have set the device to record from a single source, such as B. component cable and told it to record in HD, it won't remember what you set when you turn

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

digitizes everything

This product is amazing for its size, it digitizes everything, component composite, HDMI, well it can't do S-Video, the only downside is that it takes a maximum of 6 minutes a time, so a full vhs of 20 minutes has about 3-4 files, you can put them together with video editing software, so not a big deal. pretty amazing for the size, takes an analogue signal and outputs an hdmi and mp4 file, very impressive, also i had problems with 2 usb drives out of 4, it has problems recognizing some usb…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Annoying

Simple analog media capture process

I haven't tried HDMI capture, but digitizing an analog source was very easy. Simply plug in your own (VHS in my case) player, connect it to your monitor/TV via HDMI and add a USB flash drive and you're ready to start digitizing your media files. Here's a video showing how the process works.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great video capture with easy setup.

I needed a universal video capture device with a component video input. RCA input jacks are the way to go; Instead of an adapter cable trying to stay connected to the miniport like some other capture devices do. The video quality is excellent, and the resolution and format selection buttons make it easy to record videos to a USB stick or hard drive.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good solution for digitizing videos stored on old camcorder tapes

Easy connection, effective scaling, flexible input options, easy control of the recorded video. The guide could be better (isn't it easy to set the desired resolution when using different video compression options and file types?). The AC adapter can produce video noise in certain situations (this can be remedied by plugging it into a different outlet from the camcorder and monitor. I'm very happy with the results and would recommend this unit to others).

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Weight
