Compatible with Mac Suitable for Internals

Connected my VCR to my MacBook Pro 2019 and opened QuickTime Player to start recording. Click "Play" on the VCR and the video was displayed ok and the video was recorded. Was able to make digital copies of VHS videos that I couldn't share with friends for years.

WILL NOT WORK WITH STANDARD VCRs

I really wanted this item to work and had high hopes but the "S-Video" input cable doesn't even fit/work with my standard VCR. I can record audio but not video/image from a VHS tape. It's useless! VERY DISAPPOINTING! If I could give this product zero stars I would.

Garbage! Internal TV Tuner and Capture Cards

My grandfather passed away and left us his collection of videotape, which he took with him when my family was younger. Was excited to use this and transfer them to DVDJUNK! The start is great but at some point during the recording the video freezes which unfortunately causes the audio to become out of sync with the video. I tried using this for audio and then plugged it into an external mic placed next to the speakers and it still failed. Tech support is a joke. I'm still waiting for a reply to

Stanley Worked really great, didn't need to install a CD to use the device. Just plug in all the existing cables in the right places. On an Apple computer, I used the built-in QuickTime program to record VHS tapes. Recording time is not limited which was another great feature. It can record for hours to ensure you…

Works well with Windows 10

This works well with my PC running Windows 10. The software has a limited choice of recording type and quality, "DVD" is best, and the file is saved as an MPG . Using a USB 3.0 port, I recorded a VHS video at 720 x 480 resolution and 29.97 fps. The sound was recorded in 16 bit 48 kHz stereo. The total bitrate was 8224 kbps for a 3:59 minute recording with a 240 MB file size. Quality depends a lot on the source, but a good quality VHS upscaled to 1920x1080P/30 doesn't look bad with DaVinci…
