This new bottle opener is cute for a man cave. The opener on top of the bottle works. However, the bottle itself is not laminated and the coating wears off quickly even after a few uses. It's made from a lightweight, chipboard-like material, not the best option for cold, wet bottles. Fastening material is not included in the scope of delivery. This is a fun novelty that is best used for decoration.

It has a bottle opener that can open bottles. That's the good part. It is made from MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), which is wood pulp compressed from many inches to less than half an inch. As such it is thin and must be laid flat on the ground or it will not hold up to many bottles. Also, although it is varnished, it should not be placed outdoors or in places with a lot of humidity. I wouldn't buy this as a gift. The keyword in the product name is "New".

Does the job. The description says it's made of alloy, but don't get confused, only the opener itself is made of alloy. The rest is thick chipboard, almost like great cardboard. My guess is that you can't keep getting wet without warping the board. The entire front and sides are covered in paint which helps keep it going. I was happy to get my hands on this beer bottle opener. Looks nicer than in the photos. But I don't like it enough to give it 5 stars. 4 stars, yes.; 5 stars, no. Pretty well done, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the wood chip composite "beer bottle". Plastic is expected to be better at handling wet beer bottles (although this composite can absorb moisture, swell, etc. over time).
