🐱 Dimaka 29" Tall Cat Scratching Post: Perfect for Big Cats, with Natural Sisal Rope Post and Sturdy Carpet Base - Ideal Adult Cat Scratcher and Tree Review

Our cats have been using the same not so tall scratching post for years and I didn't want to try anything else and wondered if they would accept it. I'm happy to report that both found the scratching surface very "attractive" and soon learned to reach up to find the treats they got when using it. This gave them a good stretch. Good value for money.

This cat tree is perfect! I have 2 cats. One weighs 5 pounds and the other weighs 26 pounds. This perch is strong enough for a 26 pound cat when the base rests against a wall for added stability. This can be anywhere for a 5 pound cat and will not exceed it. Very easy to assemble; took 5 minutes. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I was a bit doubtful our boys wouldn't knock it over if they tried to scratch it. It is very durable and stable. When we first assembled it, one of our cats climbed it like it was a tree and it didn't fall over. We've had it for about 3 weeks and they use it regularly. The only problem I have is moving it on hardwood floors, but I'll take care of that instead of ripping my couch apart!

It's coming back. Pros is a tall perch I wanted for my big kitty. I can't tell how the assembly goes because as soon as I saw 2 pieces they were put back in the box. This rack is made of lighter cardboard with thick cord. The ones I have now are very thick cardboard with sisal on them and my kittens have been scratching them many times a day for the past 2 years. Love the height and the fact that it's made of sisal but it takes too many hands/people to put it all together. The base is split so 1 or 2 need to hold them together, poles in 3 so don't worry if you connect both ends together you need a 3rd or 4th person else you pinch your fingers, hands, boobs in the gap below while trying to screw it to the pole. The rope is thinner than the previous stake we used for our older cats but it is great for our 12 week old kitten and I think he will be fine as he gets older is - it's a strong pole with a very tightly packed rope. He attacks him with full force and so far there are no problems with his movement even on slippery ground. So far, so good. The second issue is attaching the bar to the base. The supplied screw is really just a pan head screw with a thick washer, not long enough to easily penetrate the base and the threads recessed in the cardboard tube mentioned above.
