My cats love this post. Under my window, up on the windowsill, they climb in there and then try to transplant it onto the window. I was afraid it would tip over because it's so big, but there's no tipping problem even with both cats playing at the same time. Very important.

My cat and I loved this tall scratching post - until the base crumbled into crumbs. Adding huge washers to support the base has already started cracking it again (see photo). To use it you need a whole new base (not the same flimsy chipboard). An inadequate base is a serious design flaw.

My big red cat could easily pull out a smaller or less sturdy scratching post and will withstand its "abuse". He uses it regularly after we rub fresh catnip on it. I literally took his paws, stretched out his claws and showed how to use them - maybe some cats know better. In any case, instead of our skirting boards and bed corners, the post office tells us when he's hungry or needs a change of bed linen. Highly recommended!

My two adult cats love it! I originally bought this for my 1 year old cat who loves to scratch drywall in the corners of my apartment. This is a fairly large cat weighing 13 pounds, is very clumsy, and is constantly knocking things over. He climbed it several times as if it were a tree and only once knocked it over by jumping down, which he found very difficult. Very durable, easy to assemble.

It was very easy to put together. I love the large base and this kitty can reach out to claw, claw, claw. Held up well, although I took the BC star the ball came off within the first week. High? Kitty now loves kicking the ball around the house. In general, I recommend using it as a small scratching post during the transition, living in small spaces, or placing a small inconspicuous scratching post next to a valuable rug or piece of furniture to distract the cat from something to scratch!

I have a huge ragdoll that towers over most scratching posts. This two-piece tower was the perfect solution. The base is large, giving my cat enough room to stand on while scratching (it also keeps the stand from tipping over during use). The bar itself feels pretty solid.
