The felt that comes with the kit is not very dense and I was afraid it would tear when used on the back.

After six months of work on this project I wasn't able to finish it by Christmas as I had hoped due to not enough yarn in the kit. Even though I took leftover yarn from other projects and connected the colors as best as I could, it still wasn't enough to finish. I am currently working on this project and hope to have it ready for my new grandson by Christmas. Everything is accurately described and on par with other counting cross stitch kits I've purchased in the past. I love the design of this stocking! I especially like that the thread is pre-sorted as that saved a lot of prep time.
