I'll keep it simple. like dinosaurs? They are enough to share between 2-3 children. It is relatively difficult to hack, so kids will spend a lot of time hacking it. Cons: *Relatively difficult* to hack and requires some strength. An older brother or sister can help/start it. Definitely recommend it to all struggling parents!

They were a real hit with my son. I bought these with the intention of using them for my son's birthday and then made to order to leave them at home and they came in handy for keeping my son entertained. They don't fall apart easily which the kids have to work towards and take longer! But my son just loves them. I will be buying more since we use them as part of our rewards system (they are so effective). That would make them perfect in a dinosaur favor bag as a party favor.

We really liked these toys and had a lot of fun digging up dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are small but the kids loved it. The tools work well. Bits of egg strewn across the counter but we didn't care. We've found that if you soak the egg in water it's a little easier to work with, but the clay gets a bit like dirt. It was very easy to clean with a damp paper towel. Packaging could be better; There are some parts that are cracked and there is egg dust all over the box. I gave them to my son for his birthday. When I was a kid we had geodes and rocks that we smashed in science class; I was hoping these would be similar. They resemble a mixture of hard clay and chalk to the touch, making them easier to open. Not exactly what I was looking for, but my son enjoyed "discovering" the dinosaurs inside. They have been a huge hit at our house. This product is great. The eggs were individually wrapped and the packaging box looked cool with dinosaurs and eggs on it. They are dirty but we placed them on a baking sheet which made cleaning easier. Our grandchildren and even our grown children loved them. Our 3 year old grandson got a little help from his mum but he cracked the egg open and loved it! It took about 30 or 40 minutes to get the dinosaur out. Real dinosaurs were tiny, like animal…

So I've seen a few of these already and decided to take the plunge for my 7th birthday as he and his website (almost 4) can. I thought the eggs were like sand, but they're actually more like chalk. The kids had fun digging up the dinosaur. Once they found their dinosaurs, they were able to get them out of their eggs pretty quickly. For all dino-loving families with children, this is the perfect activity! It's the perfect time killer for the hectic hours of the day! My boys 4.5 and 2.5 have a lot of fun doing this together. My 2.5 year old helps where he can but mostly leaves the digging up to his older brother.
