DO NOT order this cable - they sent an HDMI to VGA cable instead

I am very disappointed to get a cable with VGA on one end instead of DVI. This product should have a DVI-D cable end, typically white, with 24 pins and a single flat blade connector. It came with a VGA connector, which is an old video connector from the 1980s, and the end is usually blue with 15 pins, sometimes called DB-15.

Works and has sound

I use this product on my computer. DVI is connected to the computer and HDMI to the TV. There is sound, a lot of conflicting reviews, but yes, it transmits sound. Make sure you play the sound in the right place in the sound settings. It works fine with the setup I have, 2 monitors with HDMI and a TV with DVI to HDMI.

This is a digital signal. Wu.

Don't let those "premium" cables fool you, HDMI and DVI are digital so the signal is either 100% or not at all and with this cable you can You get 100% for all test cases (one by one) I ran. Little electronic fairies leap down that copper road straight into my monitor, where they perform an intricate dance before turning into photons and bursting through the eyeholes into my brain. All this is possible with this DVI-D 24+1 male to HDMI male cable. I'm not sure what they mean by "high speed"โ€ฆ

Could be an alternative to docking station

Works great. Good to use for a second external monitor to a laptop. This was a game changer for me as I figured I would end up having to buy an expensive dock/device to mount external dual monitors. So this was an inexpensive way to connect my second monitor since the first monitor is connected. via VDI/DVI port (on my old Lenovo). I researched online and was told that my laptop must have dual graphics cards in order to display on dual external monitors. It was not right! I installed Windows 10

Exactly what I needed at a price I could handle

This is exactly what I needed - after wasting money on cables and adapters (and buying wrong adapters for crazy cables had!), I found these! Man, I'd like to see her first. If you're a video snob and demand Ultra 4K or whatever - I can't tell you if you'll be happy. But I don't see any difference in video quality when my computer is connected to dual 1080p monitors. I tried connecting my computer to my TV and using it as a monitor, but something struck me - no sound! It may not apply to allโ€ฆ
